Collectives are governed by members making proposals and voting on them.
Your ownership token is also your governance token on Upstream. Your ownership level depends on how much you contributed to the Collective.
Currently, Upstream uses a weighted voting system. Members voting power will be proportionate to the amount of governance token they own. To help with the balance of power, every proposal must reach a quorum to be executed on.
We are constantly exploring new models for voting and governance in Collectives. In the future, we'll introduce tools that will allow members to earn tokens or bounties for participating in various activities in Collective.
